Questions Guests Ask
Is the half-day tour too hard for a beginner?
First-timers are welcome, and your guide gives you a lesson if you need one. It’s 3.5 hours, so you’ll want a moderate fitness level.
Is it safe?
Yes. We only go to safe, avalanche-free areas, and groups are 8 people or fewer.
What should I wear?
Snow boots, hiking boots or water-resistant athletic shoes (no heeled boots). Dress in warm layers, but skip cotton. A ski or snowboard jacket and snow pants are perfect. Bring a hat, sunglasses, gloves, sunscreen and at least 16 oz of water.
When does snowshoe season start?
As soon as there’s enough snow on the ground. That’s usually around mid-December. Until then, our electric dirt bike tours and guided hikes are running.
Where do we meet?
You’ll meet your guide at the trailhead. All of our tours start within 20 minutes of the Stateline casino area, and parking is easy. Your booking confirmation has the details.
