Your guide meets you at the trailhead. The exact spot is in your booking confirmation. We start and finish at the same place. Locations vary depending on weather and current conditions.
All of our locations are within 10-20 minutes of anywhere in South Lake Tahoe. All locations are within 20 minutes – 1 Hour from Stateline/casino/Heavenly Village Area.
It is up to you to get to the location on time, 5 minutes before tour time.
We provide no transportation to or from tour locations. Details are given upon booking.

Join Tahoe Outdoor Adventures for an unforgettable experience of backcountry snowboarding and skiing in the area.
We staff only the best professional and local guides who have an intimate relationship with our terrain which allows us to assess the best conditions for you and your group.
We are located in the heart of South Lake Tahoe and may venture 20 minutes outside of town depending on conditions.
EXPRESS BACK COUNTY
As locals, sometimes we want a quick backcountry session without spending the whole day hiking up a mountain. Over the years we have found spots that we can hike or skin up and and then get a quick backcountry session down. The best news: it takes about 3.5 hours. This is our favorite way to get some exercise while having fun and enjoying mountain life in South Lake Tahoe.
Tours can usually be accommodated to fit your time of day preference.

Who is this tour for?
Experienced skiers, snowboarders and splitboarders in excellent shape, ages 14 and up.
Do you provide skis, boards or avalanche gear?
No. Bring your own skis, snowboard or splitboard and a helmet. On heavy snow days, bring a beacon, probe and shovel.
How long is it, and what does it cost?
The regular tour is 5 hours and Express is 3.5 hours. From $350 per person when you book direct.
